Excavator Cooling System Parts: Radiator and Cooler, Water Pump, Thermostat, Fan and Belts

Overheating is rarely one failed part — it is a chain of small losses. How each cooling component fails, how they interact, and how to order a cooling kit that solves the problem instead of postponing it.

Excavator Cooling System Parts: Radiator and Cooler, Water Pump, Thermostat, Fan and Belts

A cooling system never fails all at once. It fails in instalments: a belt glazes slightly, a thermostat opens a few degrees late, a water pump impeller loses a millimetre to corrosion, and a cooler core quietly blocks with dust and scale from a thousand dusty shifts. Each loss is small enough to ignore — until a hot afternoon under load, when they add up, the temperature gauge climbs, and the machine derates in the middle of a pour. Understand the chain, replace the weak links on schedule, and overheating becomes a planned cost instead of an emergency. Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. quotes coolers, water pumps, thermostats, fans, spacers and belts from Guangzhou daily across Kobelco, Komatsu, Hitachi, Doosan, Hyundai and other makes, and this guide is how we help buyers build a cooling order that actually fixes the problem.

Corbay is the international export brand of Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd., Guangzhou, China. Cooling parts sit on the engine side of the machine, which means references are frequently engine-based rather than machine-based: the same excavator model can carry different engines, and the cooling components follow the engine, not the yellow paint.

The Cooling Chain — What Each Component Does and How It Fails

Radiator and cooler assemblies. The heat exchanger itself — coolant on one side, air on the other. Failure comes from the outside in: dust, straw and clay packed between the fins cut airflow long before anything leaks. Internal scale and silt block tubes, and internal corrosion eventually weeps. A cooler commonly quoted as the LQ05P00071F1 assembly for SK260-class machines is as much a wear item as a part.
Water pump. The engine's circulation heart. Bearings rumble, seals weep from the telltale hole, and impellers corrode away — a pump with a perfect bearing but a half-eaten impeller still overheats. A pump reference commonly quoted as J361-0034C for J08-powered machines is a fast-moving line on our engine parts range.
Thermostat and temperature sender. The thermostat controls whether coolant circulates the radiator or the engine block, and its failure modes are opposite and equally damaging: stuck closed cooks the engine, stuck open leaves it cold, sooty and fuel-hungry. A thermostat commonly quoted as VA3434611500 for D04FR and D06FR engines is a low-cost part that decides the whole system's behaviour.
Fan, spacer and belts.Airflow and drive. A fan with cracked or bent blades moves less air and can stress the hub; a worn spacer lets the fan run out of plane; a glazed belt slips hot and quiet. A fan commonly quoted as VHS163063000 for J05E engines and belts such as the VA3434904400 reference are the parts that turn a good cooling circuit into actual cooling.

Why Overheating Is Often a Chain, Not a Part

When a machine runs hot, buyers usually suspect the radiator. Often the radiator is the victim, not the cause: a tired pump circulates less coolant through a partially blocked core, a lazy thermostat keeps the flow path wrong, a damaged fan moves less air, and the combination lifts the running temperature into the gauge's attention. That is why we quote cooling as a set where the machine allows it — cooler, thermostat, pump, fan, belt and the temperature sender — and why we ask what the machine was doing and when the temperature climbed. Diagnosis follows symptom: overheating at idle points one way, overheating only under heavy load points another, and slow warm-up followed by overheat points squarely at the thermostat. The related temperature questions are covered in our hydraulic oil and temperature guide, because a hot cooling system and hot hydraulic oil usually travel together.

Coolant, Cleaning and the Faults You Cannot Buy a Part For

Clean the core before blaming it.External fin packing is the most common single cause of summer overheating, and it costs nothing but an air line and patience. Clean from the engine side outward.
Use the right coolant, mixed correctly.Wrong coolant chemistry attacks seals and alloy parts; plain water scales the core and raises the boiling point by nothing. Top up with the specification the engine maker lists — engine makers such as HINO publish coolant and service specifications per engine series, and the cooling parts follow the engine rather than the machine badge.
Check the pressure cap.Cooling systems are pressurised for a reason: a weak cap lowers the boiling point and lets the machine overheat while everything else is healthy. Caps and thermometers such as the YN20M00107S085 reference are cheap insurance.
Look at the belt path.A glazed or mis-tensioned belt slips under load, when you cannot hear it. Check tension and condition at every service — a slipping belt is a worn pump and an overheat waiting to happen.

What We Need to Quote Your Cooling Parts

Send five details: the part or casting number where it is readable (and clear photos where it is not), the machine model and serial number, the engine model if you have it, the quantity of each line, and the destination port. Quotations normally come back within 24 hours with the cooler, pump, thermostat, fan, spacer and belt each on its own line in genuine, OEM-quality and aftermarket grades — the grade stated in writing, and any reference that is commonly quoted rather than fully verified flagged before it ships. Buyers preparing machines for a hot season should order cooling lines with filters, belts and hoses in one shipment; our stocking plan guide explains how to time that order so the parts arrive before the season, not during it.

Cooling System Parts — FAQ

Do you supply cooling parts for engines from other makers?Yes — cooling components are quoted for HINO, Isuzu, Yanmar, Mitsubishi, Cummins and other engines fitted to excavators, identified from the engine model and the part reference rather than the machine badge.
Can you supply a complete cooling kit for one machine?Yes. Give us the machine model, serial and engine model and we will quote the full set — cooler, pump, thermostat, cap, fan, spacer and belts — as separate lines so you can buy the whole chain or only the links you need.
How do I request a quotation and how fast will I get a reply?Send the part numbers or photos, machine model and serial, quantities and destination port via the contact page — Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. normally replies within 24 hours with grades and freight options together.

Cool the Machine Before It Derates

Every overheating event shortens the life of the oil, the seals and the head gasket — so the cheapest cooling repair is the one done before the gauge climbs. Send the machine model, engine reference and the parts you need, and the team at Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. will quote the full cooling chain by grade and get it on the water in time for the season.

Corbay Excavator Parts is the international export brand of Shenyue Machinery (Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd.), Guangzhou, China. Shenyue is an independent parts specialist and is not affiliated with, or an authorized dealer of, Kobelco Limited. Parts are supplied as genuine, OEM or clearly identified aftermarket items, and the grade is stated on every quotation.
